Kate Olson
Kate Olson, Soprano, absolutely loves teaching her beginner piano students at Shallece Saleen Studio! She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Versatile Voice at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Kate has been studying piano for over a decade and currently studies with Professor Elena Abend at UW-Milwaukee. She is now into advanced literature like Chopin and Mozart, and she looks forward to applying her piano skills in a variety of settings, such as accompaniment and directing.
As a recent graduate of Muskego High School, Kate performed as Alice Beineke in The Addams Family, her fourth and final show in the program. Additionally, Kate was an avid member both on and offstage in the MHS Drama Club, directing their spring 2022 production of Romeo and Juliet. Outside of music, Kate played varsity tennis and led Muskego FBLA as their chapter president.
Kate most recently performed in the ensemble of Die Fledermaus at UW-Milwaukee and as Brooke Wyndham in the Fine Arts Academy’s inaugural musical, Legally Blonde. In addition, she was the assistant music director for the Fine Arts Academy’s summer season of Moana Jr. and Mean Girls. She looks forward to her performance in the Fall 2023 Opera Scenes program at UW-Milwaukee and in Outskirts Theatre’s Bat Boy at Waukesha Civic Theatre. Outside of school and the studio, Kate enjoys playing soccer, painting, and decorating cakes.
