John Burgermeister

John Burgermeister is a Milwaukee native cellist and singer. He has been playing cello since the age of 8. John studied Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at Holy Family College (formerly Silver Lake College) and finished his studies at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where he received a Bachelor's of Music degree. Upon graduation, John served as an interim choir director at a local high school.

Currently he sings with Sacra Nova Chorale, Bach Chamber Chorale, and the St. Sebastian Adult Church Choir. John has performed in productions with The Pabst, UWM Opera Theatre Department (Le Nozze de Figaro and Opera Scenes Workshop), and took part in many musical productions throughout high school. He has performed in a variety of orchestras and is currently a freelance  cellist for weddings and funerals.
